 Ideal Getaway!

When I think of a cabin vacation, this cabin exceeds my expectations. Not two minutes after stepping inside, I knew that  this cabin would be the standard against which I would be forced to compare all future cabins. My first thought was actually, "I wish I'd known about this place when my friend was looking for honeymoon rentals last year." Over spring break, I stayed in this cabin for a two-night getaway to celebrate my twenty-fifth birthday with my closest girl friend. The weather was perfect for gabbing over a glass of wine in the rocking chairs on the front porch as we were serenaded by the gurgling creek just below. It was serene. As a schoolteacher, I reveled in the tranquility. The cabin is situated back from the main road far enough that you don't hear or see any traffic (not that the traffic in Jasper holds any comparison to that in Northwest Arkansas!), and the neighboring homes are near enough that you don't feel utterly alone but far enough that you can appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding land. The two levels, each with a private room and bath, were perfect for us to be able to make phone calls home and avoid the hassle of coordinating our beauty routines. My friend preferred to sleep downstairs while I enjoyed the loft. I know she was jealous when I showed off the redbuds and dogwoods blooming right up against the loft bedroom windows like an enchanted treehouse! I will say, the loft stairs are steeper than I would expect. I agree with the owners that I'd be wary of taking small children to this cabin, but I don't see anyone over the age of maybe 8 having any trouble. I found the trick is to go down backward like on a ladder. No trouble at all! (And that's coming from a gal with a long history of a fear of heights.) On that note, I thought it was a nice addition that there is a gate that you can latch at the top of the stairs. As you can tell, my friend and I adored our stay. She's already been back twice with her husband! She said the last time they visited, the creek was up after a heavy rain, but they went to lunch in town and then later made it across the low water bridge in her little Toyota Camry no problem. She told me she laughed about it later when she saw the neighbor come from down the road and go across in a minivan without hesitation. The creek makes this cabin incomparable to any other. It's unbelievably clear, and I adored being lulled to sleep by a natural lullaby for a change. You can stop looking and book now!

Beautiful Cabin!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cabin October 5th - 9th, 2016. There kitchen had everything you would need to cook a nice meal, beds were comfortable and the cabin was extremely clean. We loved how secluded it is and really enjoyed listening to the creek from the balconies. It was a wonderful place to unwind and we cannot wait to get back to the beautiful Ozarks. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend renting from Kathy.

Upscale but rustic, close to everything but secluded. Truly a perfect getaway oasis!

The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway for 2 couples. Close to all the best trails the Buffalo has to offer but away from traffic or other campers. The BEST thing about this wonderful little hideaway was the stream that ran right next it. Sit on the porch in their big rocking chairs and listen to the water rushing past. Love love loved our stay; can't wait to go back.

Great Family Weekend

Comfortable cabin, beautiful location, and close to town while remaining private. Our family really enjoyed our stay here for all of the above mentioned reasons. The creek was a big plus for our grandson and as long as you are aware going in that the inside stairs should be treated as a ladder you should have no problem. Kathy could not have been more gracious or accommodating.

They know how to do hospitality!

This cabin could not have been any better. It had everything you can imagine and then some. We came for my brother's wedding and it was the perfect cabin for all the girls to get ready in. We really wished we could of stayed longer so we could of enjoyed it more! It was beautiful to wake up and have coffee on the front porch overlooking the flowing river. Wish we could have used the fire pit out by the river. I know that would have been lovely. Being only a couple of minutes from Jasper made it very convenient to run into town and gave us easy access to HWY 7. We can't wait to plan another trip to come back! Don't pass this cabin up. Book it and you won't regret it!

Comfortable, Quiet and Convenient

We had a fantastic stay in the Creekside Cabin in Jasper. We have stayed in the Upper Buffalo 3 times previously and have been way off the beaten path. While those experiences were very good, we found a place here that has all of what those remote locations have to offer but with the convenience of having Jasper just over 1 mile away yet it seemed like we were just as remote as those spots where you are essentially disconnected (literally). If that's your goal you can still have it here but you also have the ability to be connected if you desire. I was traveling with teenage boys for spring break and it was a winning combination being able to hike and explore the surrounding Upper Buffalo during the day and then relax and enjoy the quiet and comfort of this incredibly well equipped cabin in the evenings. I have stayed in VRBO's from Jasper to Italy and I have to say I don't believe I've ever stayed in one as well equipped as this one. I typically bring a kitchen kit on all my stays because there is always something I need that the location doesn't provide. In this case I packed too much! I honestly can't think of anything (besides the food we prepared) that needs to be added. There was easily room for 4-6 people and while the staircase is steep we had no problems. The owners are the best I've interacted with in terms of being welcoming and committed to us having an enjoyable stay. Kathy was in touch with us at all the right times before, during and after. Overall we had a great experience and plan to make a return trip in the future. Thanks for sharing such a great place and being terrific hosts!
