I don't even know where to start! This was a girlfriend getaway, and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The owners were wonderful right from the start when I am the reservation. They answered my questions promptly and even made suggestions about the places to visit in the area. One of them even offered to meet us at a nearby location and lead us to the cabin. I can say that their directions were so detailed that we were able to find it very easily ourselves. The cabin had such nice personal touches and was exactly what was reflected on the website. It was such a peaceful atmosphere, and we felt at home the moment we walked in. It was so nice to see deer on the road and in the backyard! I was so pleased to have met one of the owners as we left. Such sweet thoughtful folks. I could go on and on about this place! Definitely more than a 5-star rating for Hummingbird Hideaway. I will definitely stay here again.

The property was amazing and the views were way more than i expected.Stocked with all you would need

Myself and my brother who has terminal cancer made the trip to jasper so he could see the Ozark Mountains which was one of his last wishes. He use to be a avid hunter and enjoyed being in the woods. Little did we know how much enjoyment we would have at the cabin. It was very clean and fully stocked with all we needed. We were amazed at the amount of deer and wildlife we were able to see. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the back porch every morning drinking coffee and seeing deer just walking past us what an unbelieveable site. The fire pit added for us to sit around the fire and enjoy our talks. All other activities were close by. We even ventured to go zip lining which was only minutes away another wish my brother was able to fulfill. We barbequed on the provided grill. This is a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful time with plenty of sites. A perfect place to spend quiet family time with lots of views. Would recommend to anyone and I am glad my brother was able to spend this time at such a special place.

I cannot recommend this property highly enough

First, let me suggest that you meet the owners personally. They are some of the nicest, most accommodating people you will ever meet. You will wish they were your neighbors. The pictures on this site do not do the cabin justice, although they are very good and very accurate. The cabin is much more spacious and comfortable than I expected, and is absolutely spotless, newly renovated, and the most homey place we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many. The beds, television, kitchen appliances, laundry, bathrooms-virtually everything is new and much higher quality than you might expect in a rental. Everything you can imagine needing is provided-just bring your food. There are plenty of guidebooks and resources, and Kathy is more than willing to help you with places to explore if you are new to the area. The location is splendid-central to the best attractions the area has to offer, and they are some of the best in the country. We were there for six days, and we didn't see or hear anyone else. One morning my wife photographed six deer as they walked through the back yard right next to the house. There are hiking trails behind the house, but there are many nearby attractions-some of the premier ones in Arkansas. I hesitate to describe what a wonderful experience we had, because at this point, because they have only had it for a short while, it is relatively unknown, and as people learn about it it may become more difficult for us to return. Of course that is a selfish motive (but I'm not ashamed). If you want to get away from it all and still enjoy all the comforts of home in a wonderful environment, this is the place for you. Call Kathy, make a reservation, and plan to relax and drink coffee in a rocker on the back porch as the sun goes down. The only thing you hear is acorns falling and the birds singing and nothing else at all. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here if you need a peaceful get away-you won't be sorry.

Peaceful, beautiful, secluded and absolutely amazing!!!

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Hummingbird Hideaway this past weekend, and it was so nice! Very secluded and peaceful, and amazing scenery -- exactly what we were looking for. The cabin itself is very cozy, comfy, clean and nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for our stay. Loved sitting on the back porch listening to the sounds of nature, watching hummingbirds come up to feed, and watching a group of deer come up through the woods and into the yard to graze. In the evenings we grilled on the back porch, then sat around the fire pit and star gazed. We enjoyed walking around the property, down to the creek and then up the gravel road a little ways. We also took the short drive to Alum Cove and hiked the trail to see the natural bridges and caves. The owner of the cabin, Kathy, is so nice and very helpful! She was very quick to reply to my emails and texts, and answered all of my questions and gave me some recommendations for local trails. We had a wonderful stay; I would highly recommend the Hummingbird Hideaway if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city/town life. Would love to live in a place like this, and are hoping to go back again soon!

Great Cabin!!

We were so glad we found this cabin for our get-away. We loved it! The cabin itself was very cozy and comfortable and was cutely decorated, but our favorite part was the location. We were able to sit on the back porch and watch deer meander through the yard, and at night, it was lovely hearing the owls. We also had so much fun walking down to the creek and later exploring in the woods. We didn't want to leave this peaceful cabin, and we are already trying to plan a return trip!
